Our History

Established in 2006, First Pacific Bank was founded under the name Friendly Hills Bank to support the banking needs of the local community.

September 18, 2006

First Pacific Bank first opened its doors in 2006 under the name Friendly Hills Bank. Named after the community of Friendly Hills, the bank’s first office was in Whittier.

October 2008

A few years later, a second office was opened in Santa Fe Springs.

August 2021

In 2021, a holding company was formed and the Bank became a wholly owned subsidiary of Friendly Hills Bancorp.

September 2021

Later that year, the Bank expanded, acquiring three Bank of Southern California branches, located in Orange, Redlands and Santa Fe Springs.

May 2022

A specialty lending group was formed dedicated to providing financing solutions for commercial trucks and vehicles.

June 2022

The Bank expanded to San Diego with a regional office.

July 2022

Friendly Hills Bancorp announced changes to its board which included the election of three independent directors.

October 2022

A full-service branch was opened in Del Mar, marking the company’s first branch location in San Diego.

December 2022

The company rebranded and officially changed its name to First Pacific Bank, releasing a new logo and website.

September 2023

The holding company for First Pacific Bank completed its corporate rebranding and officially changed its name to First Pacific Bancorp.
